Technical Lead

Overview

Join Danone in Auckland as a Technical Lead where you will be essential in enhancing equipment reliability, executing maintenance strategies, and promoting continuous operational improvement within our manufacturing facilities. As a member of the Line Leadership team, you will oversee maintenance planning, mentor technical staff, and contribute to a safe and high-efficiency production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead maintenance scheduling and implementation to optimize equipment functionality and dependability.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects by diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and delivering lasting solutions.
• Mentor engineers, operators, and technical personnel to boost skills and encourage a learning culture.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and operational teams to enhance line performance.
• Support planned maintenance tasks, including shutdowns, startups, and major equipment servicing.
• Track maintenance performance indicators and leverage insights to elevate operational results.
• Promote stringent food safety, quality assurance, compliance, and workplace safety protocols.
• Manage technical documents, maintenance schedules, and equipment standards to uphold best practices.
• Contribute to site improvement initiatives and assist in integrating new machinery and technologies.

Candidate Profile

• Possess qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated leadership and technical proficiency within a manufacturing environment.
• Thorough understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Experience in troubleshooting and enhancing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automation systems.
• Strong capability in coaching, influencing teams, and nurturing collaborative relationships.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in food, dairy, or other regulated manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
