Overview
At Pfizer, our pharmaceutical manufacturing team plays a vital role in ensuring our medical breakthroughs reach patients. We seek agile professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes through their commitment and continual process enhancement. As a team leader, your contributions directly affect timely access to essential medicines for patients and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects by defining objectives and managing personnel, technology, and financial resources.
- Drive innovative improvements in processes or products, taking calculated risks to meet goals.
- Address complex challenges by applying cross-functional experience.
- Oversee the performance of both direct and indirect reports, aligning their objectives with team goals and reporting feedback to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure achievement of objectives, regulatory compliance, and strict adherence to SOPs and cGMP standards.
- Develop and supervise a team of process technicians, optimize facility and equipment use, and lead Lean Tools implementation.
- Contribute to the creation of SMART Objectives, engage in best practice sharing, and manage training and performance of shift teams and contingent staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and experience combinations: high school diploma with 8+ years experience, associate’s degree with 6+ years experience, bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience, or MBA/MS with relevant experience.
- Proven people management skills within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Understanding of Upstream/Downstream cGMP manufacturing operations.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented settings.
- Decisive and effective in decision-making.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with Lean Tools and their deployment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Capability to identify employee development needs and provide growth opportunities.
- Experience ensuring regulatory compliance through well-established programs.
- Proficiency with AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to aid problem solving and improve processes.
