Store Manager

About the Role

The Store Manager at ALO will take responsibility for the overall business performance and day-to-day operations of our Cologne location. Rooted in the practice of mindful movement, this role is key in fostering a workplace that reflects our company's ethos, emphasizing well-being on and off the sales floor.

Key Objectives

• Design and implement retail strategies to achieve and surpass sales and profitability goals.
• Apply strong knowledge of the local market including client base and competitor landscape to inform business decisions.
• Monitor business trends and analyze KPIs to create actionable plans that drive success.

Leadership & Team Development

• Create a positive and inclusive work environment that embodies ALO's mission and guiding principles.
• Coach and mentor staff, oversee performance management, and prioritize employee growth and retention through targeted development initiatives.
• Establish succession planning and recruitment pipelines for internal promotion and external talent acquisition.

Operational Excellence

• Supervise Sales & Service, Operations, and Visual Managers to ensure alignment with key business strategies.
• Uphold high standards of visual merchandising and operational efficiency on the sales floor using business analytics.
• Maintain a safe workplace and smooth store operations at all times.

Brand & Communication

• Serve as an ALO ambassador, reinforcing our brand values through store culture and customer experience.
• Build relationships with cross-functional partners to forward organizational objectives.
• Develop and roll out effective communication methods throughout the store.

Additional Information

• Full-time staff must be available for opening, closing, and weekend hours; availability during major retail periods (such as Black Friday through early January) is required.
• This position may involve regular lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Proof of legal right to work in Germany is required before employment commences.
