Position Overview
As a Squad Lead, you will spearhead Roche’s strategic direction across defined disease areas while supporting teams delivering Roche’s solutions in Ireland. This role involves translating global strategies into actionable local initiatives, integrating field insights with squad strategies, and aligning with the broader healthcare ecosystem. You will collaborate closely as a peer with the Customer Engagement Leads, fostering a culture that emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, outcome-focused planning, and patient-centered value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with Roche's overall business objectives, ensuring each disease area has clear vision, ambitions, and outcome targets.
- Promote outcomes-based planning by organizing regular planning sessions and retrospectives, encouraging a culture of creative feedback within the team.
- Drive collaboration and engagement among disease area teams to build strong, high-performing group dynamics.
- Build trusted partnerships with external stakeholders, facilitating solution co-creation to maximize patient value and removing obstacles.
- Mobilize networks rapidly to address urgent stakeholder requirements and maintain effective communications with global, regional, and affiliate colleagues.
- Support commercial functions through accurate brand forecasting and foster transparent communication across departments.
- Enable prioritization of resources by adopting an enterprise-wide perspective, factoring in affiliate strategies and portfolio needs.
- Provide coaching and mentorship in areas including patient journey navigation, commercial expertise, and ecosystem engagement to nurture team capabilities.
- Identify and foster skill development within the organization to achieve collective goals.
- This primarily office-based role requires occasional external engagements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong strategic thinking and systems mindset capable of leading cross-functional teams following VACC principles.
- Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems and ability to extract customer value insights beyond product offerings.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills capable of building trust and fostering collaboration among diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven background in strategy, sales, marketing, business development, market access, or customer ecosystem engagement.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of business drivers, local market conditions, and competitive landscape is advantageous.
- Experience coaching and mentoring personnel, with a commitment to team development.
- Familiarity with agile environments and leading teams accordingly.
- Expertise in launch and lifecycle management focusing on maximizing value across patient journeys.
- Robust networking skills within and outside the organization.
- University-level degree in scientific, economical, or business disciplines; advanced qualifications such as Life Sciences degrees or MBAs are a plus.
- Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with Roche policies, including codes of conduct and industry regulations.
