Role Overview

As a Spa Receptionist, you will serve as the first welcoming presence to spa guests, ensuring a luxurious and seamless service experience consistent with The Ritz-Carlton's prestigious standards. This key position involves appointment management, guest relations, and supporting daily spa administration within a demanding luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and provide personalized service to each guest entering the spa.
• Manage bookings, appointments, and guest communications through multiple channels, including phone and email.
• Inform guests about spa services, treatments, packages, and promotions with clarity.
• Efficiently process guest check-ins and check-outs and handle payment transactions accurately.
• Maintain confidential guest records with attention to privacy.
• Coordinate schedules with therapists and spa staff to optimize service delivery.
• Promote and upsell spa treatments, memberships, retail products, and special offers to maximize guest experience.
• Ensure reception area adheres to highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or issues and escalate concerns as needed.
• Assist with inventory control, daily operations, and administrative tasks to support the spa team.
• Follow all company policies, health and safety requirements, and uphold professional grooming standards.
• Handle cash management duties, including bank accuracy and securing funds.
• Report maintenance needs and any workplace incidents to management immediately.
• Comply with company policies including confidentiality and asset protection.
• Maintain effective communication with the team and contribute to a respectful work environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

• High school diploma or equivalent; degrees in hospitality are advantageous.
• Prior customer service experience, preferably in luxury hotels, spas, or wellness centers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage guests professionally.
• Well-organized with capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and spa reservation software systems.
• Fluent English essential; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Customer-centric mindset with calm problem-solving abilities and professional demeanor.
• Sales skills to effectively offer additional services and products.
