Social Worker

About the Role

Thom Child & Family Services located in Norwood, MA, seeks a dedicated Early Intervention Social Worker or Mental Health Clinician (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) to work part-time onsite. This role involves delivering home- and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers aged birth to three years, who have or are at risk for developmental delays, alongside their families. The position offers a salary ranging from $56,000 to $65,000 annually, with actual remuneration determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage in multidisciplinary assessments of children's developmental progress.
• Deliver direct child development interventions suitable for infants and toddlers and their families.
• Collaborate in creating Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), outlining goals and strategies linked to developmental milestones.
• Maintain thorough documentation including progress notes, reports, and assessments.
• Provide individual and group interventions addressing cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, self-care, motor, and communication developmental areas.
• Evaluate family and child strengths, challenges, and progress continuously.
• Coordinate services by scheduling and overseeing intervention plans, ensuring compliance with required procedures.
• Offer professional support to families, facilitating parent-child engagement to promote child development and empower families to advocate for their children.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution along with certification or licensure as LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC.
• Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
• Strong understanding of family systems and early childhood development principles.
• Ability to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, caregivers, and partner organizations.
• Commitment to culturally sensitive, individualized service delivery.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational abilities.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Proficient computer literacy with strong documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Bilingual and bicultural skills are considered an asset.
