Role Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist will join the P8-A Poseidon team, focusing on efficient warehousing services for our Australian customer. Core duties include managing receipt, dispatch, and inventory control activities to support project operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inventory system transactions to facilitate project needs.
• Oversee inventory accounts management, including stock designated as serviceable, repairable, quarantined or for disposal, in alignment with Boeing and Defence guidelines.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge across all functions related to receiving, storage, packaging, shipping and issuing inventory within the project warehouse.
• Provide assistance and coordination across various internal and external stakeholders.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven background in supply support functions.
• Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Eager to develop expertise in computerized inventory management systems and associated processes, preferably including Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Excellent communication skills to ensure clear, effective engagement with all stakeholders.
• Proficient use of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Australian citizenship is required to comply with Defence security protocols, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
• Applicants should detail prior experience and system access related to Defence logistics management in their applications.
