About the Role

Join the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH), Western Canada's largest and busiest hospital with 882 beds, located near Edmonton's dynamic Ice District. This role involves safely transporting patients to and from Diagnostic Imaging and reacting appropriately during emergencies. Expect a demanding workload and potentially high stress levels.

Primary Responsibilities

• Transport patients, clients, residents, and equipment between various care areas within the hospital.
• Distribute and restock hospital supplies across units.
• Clean equipment and patient care areas following instructions.
• Transport laboratory specimens, blood products, and patient charts as needed.
• Report safety concerns, supply issues, or other observations to Unit Managers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 or its equivalent is mandatory.
• No physical limitations preventing extended walking, sitting, or standing.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull, including lifting weights up to 100 lbs.

Work Details and Terms

• Union: AUPE GSS Unit.
• Work location: Royal Alexandra Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging.
• Employment status: Regular full-time, FTE 1.00.
• Shift duration: 7.75 hours.
• Shift cycle: 10 shifts over two weeks including days, evenings, nights, weekends.
• Days off provided as per rotation schedule.
• Salary range: $22.33 to $24.38 per hour.
• No vehicle required for this role.
