Senior Manager - Manufacturing Methods

Role overview

This position is for a senior manufacturing leader who will oversee methods, process engineering, and industrial performance at the plant level. The goal is to strengthen production efficiency, safety, and output quality while driving a culture of continuous improvement across operations.

What you will do

• Improve manufacturing processes to raise efficiency and stabilize operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using SPS, Lean, and Six Sigma practices.
• Support industrialization efforts and new product introduction activities.
• Contribute to capacity planning and production planning support.
• Build and maintain standardized process documentation and work methods.
• Guide teams and coordinate with stakeholders to implement change effectively.
• Align plant performance initiatives with broader business goals.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance requirements are consistently met.

Who can apply

Applicants must hold a B.Tech / B.E. degree in any specialization. The employer is seeking professionals who are already working in a plant environment, and candidates from FMCG or pharma backgrounds are not preferred. Only male candidates are eligible for this opening.

Work arrangement

This is a plant-based role in Kolkata, India. All work is to be performed on-site at the plant, and alternate Saturdays will be working days.

Experience and background

The role calls for at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, methods, or industrial engineering. Suitable academic backgrounds include Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Core capabilities

The job requires strong expertise in manufacturing management, process design, industrial engineering, Lean/Six Sigma-based improvement, and digital manufacturing tools. It also calls for leadership strengths such as change management, stakeholder influence, and strategic thinking.
