About the Role
Join the Leipzig/Halle and Dresden airports team, serving over three million passengers annually and handling around 1.4 million tons of air freight, making the airport a significant logistics hub in Europe. With a committed workforce of more than 1,100 employees across both locations, and over 220 resident companies employing 17,200 people in Leipzig, Halle, and Dresden, this role offers a vital position within a major economic engine of the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and reinforce the corporate internal audit function by continuously maintaining and implementing the audit strategy.
- Plan and conduct internal audits across all departments, including processes, compliance, governance, organization, and IT.
- Contribute to audit planning through company-wide risk assessments.
- Analyze and assess business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Develop the internal control and risk management system further.
- Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations for management and executive leadership.
- Advise departments on process improvements and governance matters.
- Support change and development projects from an audit perspective.
- Monitor agreed actions and assist with their implementation.
Candidate Profile
- Completed degree in business administration, business informatics, business law, finance, or a comparable discipline.
- Several years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or governance, risk, and compliance areas.
- Familiarity with relevant auditing standards and regulatory requirements, such as IIA and IDW.
- Strong understanding of business operations and economics.
- Analytical, structured, and solution-focused approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills and confident interaction with leadership and management.
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
