About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Advisor in Workforce Strategy and Performance to join our People & Culture team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for advancing the organization's vision by spearheading strategic workforce and succession planning. Your leadership will be key in designing and implementing performance management frameworks and organizational development initiatives. This role collaborates closely with directors and senior leaders to enhance capability and drive the delivery of Strategic Direction 3 (Our People) within the Museums Victoria 2025-30 Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continually refine the workforce and succession planning framework alongside senior leadership, addressing risks in critical roles and future competency needs.
- Revise, implement, and manage the organization’s performance management system, ensuring ongoing improvements to performance processes.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to assess and address capability gaps and promote organizational effectiveness, with a focus on leadership and management quality.
- Lead the coordination of key employee engagement initiatives, such as the People Matter Survey, ensuring action plans are developed and executed.
- Collaborate on structural planning activities, including workforce modeling and job evaluation, together with People & Culture leaders.
Additional Information
- This is an ongoing, full-time position based primarily at the Melbourne Museum, with occasional work required across other sites.
- The salary is VPS Grade 5, Value Range 2, starting from $128,635 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation.
