Security & Access Control Technician

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and set up modern wireless alarm systems including Ajax hubs, detectors, and integrations.
• Carry out installation, programming, and commissioning of SALTO access control systems and configure/support ICT Protégé GX and WX systems.
• Integrate alarm and access control systems with IP CCTV and IP intercoms for seamless operation.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics, system upgrades, and provide thorough customer training and handover service.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of five years' practical experience in the electronic security sector with expertise in SALTO and ICT Protégé systems.
• Strong technical understanding of IT networking, including IP addressing and VLAN configurations.
• Possession of a valid Ministry of Justice Private Security Personnel Badge and Certificate of Approval (COA) is preferred.
• Holds a New Zealand National Certificate in Electronic Security.
• Current Site Safe Passport plus Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification for working at heights.
• Excellent communication skills, professional appearance, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
