Frontage Laboratories Inc. is a reputable, publicly traded Contract Research Organization (CRO) operating more than 25 advanced laboratories across the United States, Canada, and China. The company specializes in pre-clinical services including drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical testing, chemistry and manufacturing controls, as well as clinical trial laboratory support.
Position Summary
This full-time role based in Hayward, CA supports the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department through experimental design, data acquisition, analysis, troubleshooting, and communication of results. The role requires collection of pre-clinical compound data using various laboratory techniques, organizing and statistically analyzing findings, and reporting them effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the senior team leader.
- Collaborate closely within a scientific team in the DMPK group on daily tasks.
- Accurately maintain a laboratory notebook documenting experiments and observations.
- Develop analytical methods and generate data using instruments such as LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and spectrophotometry.
- Perform routine bioanalytical testing of compounds in biological and solvent matrices.
- Analyze data using software tools including Sciex Analyst, DiscoveryQuant, GraphPad Prism, and Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare and present results in reports and communicate findings with collaborators and clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify challenges, suggest solutions, and clearly convey information during meetings.
- Participate in lab maintenance duties like buffer preparation, cleaning, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to complete joint projects punctually.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
- Between zero and four years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or preclinical CRO environments.
- Preferred experience working with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and bioanalytical methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex issues methodically.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of multitasking and working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Committed to delivering high-quality work with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Hands-on familiarity with standard biotechnology laboratory equipment and techniques; understanding of quantitative analysis and biological sample processing considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
