Position Details
- Title: Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative
- Location: Remote within two hours of Mission Valley, San Diego, CA
- Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts; availability required between 6 AM and 6 PM, occasionally extending to 9 PM
Role Responsibilities
- Provide empathetic and professional assistance to benefit plan participants through telephone, email, and instant messaging.
- Adapt communication style to effectively engage with various individuals, maintaining professionalism during challenging conversations.
- Protect confidential information adhering to HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards.
- Carefully document call details and case notes with accuracy and attention to detail.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum qualification of a High School Diploma or GED
- Customer service experience is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple computer windows
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
- Capability to work effectively in a virtual environment within the geographic location constraint
