Job description
Role Summary
As a Relief Dispenser, you will operate across various stores within a specified region, playing a vital role in the pharmacy team. You will support pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. Your duties will range from greeting customers and dispensing prescriptions to advising patients on their health needs, thereby positively impacting community wellness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, handle medicine ordering, labeling, endorsing, and ensure proper collection procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to help manage and deliver pharmacy services.
- Offer knowledgeable advice and care related to medication, referring questions to pharmacists when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee lawful and safe dispensing.
- Stay updated on store innovations and comply with all operational guidelines.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions and medications to promote adherence and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with store teams to maintain consistent patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or an equivalent credential.
- Flexibility to travel within the defined geographical area.
- Legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available for this role.
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.
