About the Role
Oceania is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join multiple teams across Auckland. This opportunity allows you to practice proactively within a nurse-led service that prioritizes clinical expertise, professional judgement, and leadership to deliver outstanding care and positively impact the lives of residents. Openings include full-time, part-time, or casual positions, providing flexibility to suit your preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily clinical care required by residents.
- Carry out detailed nursing assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Exercise sound clinical decision-making and adapt confidently to changing resident conditions.
- Foster meaningful relationships with residents, their families/whānau, and allied health professionals.
- Lead, mentor, and support Healthcare Assistants and the broader care team.
- Maintain precise clinical documentation and participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where residents can flourish.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
- Prior nursing experience, preferably in aged care or a similar clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic clinical documentation systems.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- A team-oriented attitude coupled with a sincere passion for elder care.
- Willingness and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including weekends and nights as necessary.
Experience with InterRAI is advantageous but not mandatory.
