About Auror
Auror is dedicated to tackling retail theft and Organised Retail Crime, a global issue costing $150 billion annually. Established in New Zealand 12 years ago, Auror partners with top retailers across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK to enhance safety and security through innovative technology. The company's mission is to reduce violent retail crime by 50% within five years.
We are integrating AI technologies to amplify our capabilities, enhancing trend detection, customer support, and internal workflows, with a focus on responsible AI adoption across all roles.
Role Overview
This fixed-term 12-month contract role involves managing full-cycle recruitment primarily for sales, marketing, and customer success teams across multiple regions, with potential growth into operations and product/engineering recruiting. You'll collaborate closely with the People Experience team to ensure a seamless candidate experience, supporting Auror's mission and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment from intake to offer stage, directly partnering with hiring managers.
- Act as a trusted advisor for hiring managers, not just a process facilitator.
- Create an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Auror's values—personalized, timely, and engaging.
- Develop diverse candidate pipelines by sourcing underrepresented groups and promoting inclusive hiring practices.
- Assist with onboarding to maintain a positive experience beyond recruitment.
- Maintain high standards for ATS (Ashby), ensuring accurate and up-to-date candidate records and recruitment data.
- Contribute proactively to talent projects such as employer value proposition development, careers site enhancements, recruitment events, and process improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 3 years of comprehensive recruitment experience owning the full hiring cycle.
- Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and customer success roles from a go-to-market perspective.
- Self-motivated with high initiative, able to take action without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills that build trust with hiring managers.
- A strong commitment to delivering a positive employer brand and candidate journey.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity.
- Experience in startup or technology sectors and familiarity with Ashby ATS is advantageous.
Additional Information
The position reports to the Senior Director of Talent and People Experience. Auror values diversity and fosters an inclusive culture embracing people from varied backgrounds irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, veteran status, or age.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range from $79,000 to $102,000 USD depending on experience.
- Work-life balance with flexible and outcome-focused work culture.
- Shorter work weeks with Friday afternoons off, paid fully.
- Opportunities for professional development, including courses and conferences.
- Regular team lunches and social activities primarily during working hours.
Application Process
Applicants are encouraged to submit a cover letter explaining their interest and fit for the role, though it is optional. Applications close on Sunday, July 20th. Accessibility accommodations are available upon request.
