About the Role
Amrize invites applications for the position of Ready Mix Quality Control Technician to contribute towards building key projects across North America. This role involves ensuring consistent quality standards for concrete production and shipping while addressing any quality issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate concrete and aggregate materials regularly and generate monthly quality reports.
- Implement and uphold programs that guarantee products meet all applicable Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
- Adhere to and execute Amrize's Quality Program through sampling, testing, reporting, and necessary follow-ups at assigned sites.
- Document and communicate concrete performance metrics with stakeholders, investigating deviations and implementing corrective strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to ensure product quality aligns with customer expectations.
- Participate actively in quality control planning and related activities.
- Utilize Quadrel and Command software effectively for quality control operations.
- Conduct laboratory trials for new concrete mixes and products.
- Provide technical expertise to sales, dispatch, and operational teams.
- Commit to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
Candidate Profile
- Education requires completion of secondary education coupled with construction experience; post-secondary education in Civil Technology, Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
- This is an entry-level role offering opportunities for career advancement within Amrize.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to function well both within a team setting and independently.
- Key attributes include being driven, proactive, accountable, and self-motivated.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, minimum G2 level.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols, including use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, requiring clean-shaven areas for effective seal.
