Role Overview
Isha Life is seeking a Quality Lead to oversee and enhance our quality management practices, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. The role demands active involvement in all stages from procurement through dispatch, regulatory adherence, process improvement, supplier management, product development, team leadership, and audit management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain quality management systems (QMS) and standards.
- Guarantee that products align with predetermined quality criteria and customer expectations.
- Supervise product quality across procurement, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping processes.
- Ensure conformance to FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and related food safety regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Initiate and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues.
- Identify and bridge quality gaps through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data on quality performance, customer complaints, and deviations to mitigate future occurrences.
- Standardize quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
- Assess and monitor supplier quality performance, including conducting audits and ensuring incoming materials comply with quality standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to address quality concerns effectively.
- Support new product development by working alongside product development and operations teams during trials and launches.
- Determine quality parameters and testing protocols for new product introductions.
- Lead, mentor, and train the quality department team and promote quality awareness across functions.
- Foster a workplace culture focused on quality ownership and continuous enhancement.
- Prepare detailed quality performance reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis.
- Manage internal and external quality audits efficiently.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as rejection rates, customer complaints, and process deviations.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- In-depth knowledge of food safety laws and standards including FSSAI, GMP, and HACCP.
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and execution of CAPA.
- Skillful in conducting quality audits and inspections.
- Strong abilities in process analysis, improvement, and problem resolution.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
- Experience managing supplier and vendor quality.
- Efficient in managing documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
- Effective communication skills and adept at working across multiple teams.
