Job description

Assignment Purpose

Within the Material & Services branch located in Singapore, the Quality Executive manages aeronautical components in alignment with regulatory and company standards. The role involves overseeing the application of Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and Service Information Letters (SIL) on components repaired across a global network. This position ensures all activities comply with airworthiness requirements and participates in logistics and inspection operations at the Logistics Center, including material reception, inspection, quality control, system updates, and coordination with departments in France and logistic providers locally.

The Quality Executive also supports quality control project implementation and local process design within their scope of expertise.

Objectives and Interfaces

This role significantly contributes to the Logistics Center's success, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to airworthiness standards. It demands a strong awareness of compliance and safety risks, requiring a commitment to integrity.

Internal Contacts: Remote Service Centers leadership, Logistic Center Manager, staff from CDG, SIN, and regional logistic centers, outsourced repair teams in Singapore and France, Quality Engineering in France.
External Contacts: Aerospace repair suppliers, logistics service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct both visual and physical inspections of components; verify documentation received from repair vendors or customers.
  • Manage system reception and technical verification of components, including recording, archiving, managing discrepancies, and issuing dispatch instructions.
  • Report any suspected unauthorized parts to Quality Engineering and management.
  • Ensure all operations comply with airworthiness standards.
  • Handle system scrap reception processes.
  • Evaluate exchange proposals from repair vendors and perform related system receptions including sub-assemblies.
  • Respond to technical queries.
  • Update component counters within company systems.
  • Perform specialized inspections on serviceable and unserviceable components as needed.
  • Provide feedback on supplier quality performance and participate in supplier performance reviews both locally and overseas.
  • Assist with preparations for internal Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) audits when required.
  • Contribute to quality and supply chain development projects within their expertise.
  • Participate in job rotation programs when necessary.

Working Conditions

Based in Singapore at ALPS Avenue within Changi Airport Logistics Park, the role operates on a normal shift from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM over a standard five-day workweek. Tools include Microsoft Office and SAP applications.

Industry Context

Operating in a market where product quality, timely delivery, and material availability are critical, Material & Services supports 14 long-term contracted customers across Asia Pacific by supplying aircraft parts in serviceable condition to meet contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Aerospace or related Aviation discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of technical experience in an aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) component shop environment.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft parts and familiarity with FAA, CAAS, and EASA regulations.
  • Basic understanding of ISO9001, AS9100 quality systems, or completion of CAAS L11/L12/M10 Aviation Legislation papers is advantageous.
  • Experience managing component repairs.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong personal integrity, responsibility, conscientiousness, and resilience.
  • Positive work attitude, teamwork skills, and initiative.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP software is beneficial.
