Quality Assurance Specialist - Life Sciences

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join a global pharmaceutical company in Limerick, Ireland, to support a significant expansion project in the life sciences sector. This role is an initial 12-month contract opportunity in a dynamic environment where quality and compliance are paramount across the manufacturing and associated departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GMP standards throughout the site, covering manufacturing, quality systems, QC, validation, facilities, and materials management operations.
• Review and authorize critical quality documents such as investigations, CAPA reports, SOPs, GxP records, and change controls.
• Lead and assist with investigations and root cause analyses, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to avoid repeat issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Experience and Qualifications

• Preferably a solid background in QC testing with familiarity in QC systems such as LIMS and Empower.
• Possess a degree in a scientific field or equivalent education combined with relevant industry experience.
• Have considerable experience in GMP pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related regulated environments, tailored to the candidate's seniority level.
• Previous involvement in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or Quality Control roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GMP standards and quality compliance regulations.
