QA Engineer - Mobile and Automation Testing

Role Overview

The QA Engineer will focus on both web and mobile applications, overseeing software revision management and release installer builds. This position demands swift evaluation of optimal testing strategies for assigned projects and proficiency in handling multiple tasks with independence and efficiency. A comprehensive understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle is essential, involving engagement across all verification stages including test case creation, execution, requirements review, and validation.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for both mobile and web platforms, following detailed instructions to verify that applications meet functional and end-user requirements.
• Manage concurrent projects effectively, quickly adapting to new applications and varied testing environments.
• Create comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases derived from business needs, technical documents, and product expertise.
• Accurately document test outcomes, prepare release notes, and develop troubleshooting aids for field support teams.
• Record detailed reproduction steps for issues identified to assist developers in resolving software problems.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication regarding testing progress and project statuses.
• Conduct training and provide support for new products and feature rollouts.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve field issues arising post-deployment.
• Adhere to and promote organizational standards while actively participating in process enhancement initiatives.

Preferred Skills and Tools

• Proficient in SQL for backend testing and validation.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks, notably Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Advanced knowledge in manual testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of performance testing fundamentals and basic UNIX commands is advantageous.
