QA Competent Assessor

About the Role

The primary responsibility is to execute system and software quality assurance tasks, providing independent verification and clear insight to both project teams and management. This ensures that deliverables meet the specified quality targets and that team activities align with defined standardized processes and approved project plans.

The role involves promoting quality and adherence throughout the software development lifecycle, supporting the formulation of project Quality Assurance Plans encompassing all critical gate reviews, audit of deliverables, process evaluations, and defining project quality goals, KPIs, and metrics.

Key duties include conducting and sanctioning the Aptiv Product Development Process gate reviews with teams and leadership, performing process and product audits, carrying out capability assessments following Automotive SPICE standards, and tracking non-conformances until they are fully resolved.

Additional tasks are to verify and approve software deliveries or halt them if quality standards are not met, coordinate quality assurance activities according to project plans, report SQA activities to management, escalate quality concerns, and communicate with customers about system, software, and independent testing quality matters, including audit planning and action tracking.

The assessor also ensures engineering teams properly follow the problem-solving process for field-identified software issues.

Candidate Background

• Experience in the automotive industry is essential.
• Certification as an Intacs Automotive SPICE Competent Assessor is preferred.
• 7 or more years of experience, ideally between 6 and 13 years, working as Systems or Software Engineer in development teams.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and project management tools.
• Familiarity with capability maturity models such as Automotive SPICE and CMMI.
• Additional preferred qualifications include IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 15504, Functional Safety ISO 26262, Agile methodologies, Lean principles, and Six Sigma.

Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity is open to candidates who have a minimum of 7 years of industry experience and are graduates in Computer Science Engineering.
