Purchase & Stores Executive

Overview

Showlite Aluminium Industries Pvt Ltd. is seeking a capable and proactive Purchase & Stores Executive to oversee procurement and inventory management related to factory supplies. This role involves checking incoming samples, sourcing necessary materials, and ensuring timely availability of parts and tools for smooth factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and confirm the quality and specifications of incoming samples such as materials, hardware, and fasteners prior to approval.
• Manage procurement and inventory of stores items including fasteners, screws, hand tools, hand machines, and consumables.
• Identify and acquire spare parts needed for maintenance and repair of machinery within the factory.
• Conduct online research to find suitable products, vendors, and pricing for tools, machine components, fasteners, and other factory essentials.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers, negotiate best prices and delivery conditions.
• Collaborate closely with factory staff to understand material and spare part requirements and delivery timelines.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, stock logs, and relevant documentation for the items procured and utilized.
• Regularly follow up with suppliers to ensure the timely receipt of ordered goods.
• Report recurring machinery issues or shortages of parts promptly to management.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in purchase, procurement, or stores management within a factory or manufacturing setting.
• Comfortable using internet resources to research products, compare suppliers, and locate hard-to-find parts.
• Basic knowledge of fasteners, screws, hand tools, hand machines, and workshop or machinery components is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail for quality checking and sample verification.
• Effective negotiation abilities with a focus on cost efficiency in purchasing.
• Well-organized with capability to manage multiple purchase needs and follow-ups simultaneously.
• Basic computer proficiency including Excel or Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and email for record-keeping and vendor communication.
• Willingness to visit local markets or supplier locations to source items as necessary.
