Purchase Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the comprehensive procurement activities of raw materials, consumables, machinery, and various other essentials within the paper and packaging sector. The position is based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and requires a candidate with proven capabilities in managing vendor relationships and procurement cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing operations focused on raw materials, consumables, machinery, and miscellaneous requirements.
• Identify, assess, and cultivate dependable vendors and suppliers to meet business demands.
• Conduct negotiations concerning pricing, payment conditions, quality standards, and delivery timetables.
• Ensure materials are procured promptly to align with production schedules.
• Manage purchase orders, documentation related to vendors, and coordinate with inventory management.
• Keep track of market trends and pricing to formulate economical purchasing strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Stores, Accounts, and Management teams for seamless procurement processes.
• Maintain firm, timely delivery schedules alongside nurturing vendor partnerships.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the paper or packaging industry.
• Strong skills in vendor management and negotiation.
• Good understanding of raw materials and procurement workflows.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and decision-making competencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using purchase-related software or ERP systems.

Additional Information

Salary ranges between 20,000 to 40,000 INR per month, reflecting the candidate’s experience and negotiation.
