Role Purpose

The Public Area Attendant plays a key role within the Housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all communal areas. This position requires both independent work and teamwork, with a focus on attentive guest engagement and support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and appearance of the property’s interior and exterior areas.
• Perform detailed cleaning of indoor and outdoor shared spaces such as the pool, gym, and public restrooms, ensuring company standards are upheld.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment and manage chemicals safely and effectively.
• Provide assistance and answer guest queries, aid in security-related matters, and coordinate with other departments to fulfill tasks.
• Act as a vigilant observer for maintenance and guest services, promptly reporting issues like repairs needed, damaged items, or missing equipment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning roles such as cleaner, room attendant, or public areas attendant is advantageous.
• Possess a friendly and approachable communication style that comforts guests and colleagues alike.
• Strong attention to detail, efficient time management, and a genuine pride in workmanship.
• Physical fitness and flexibility to work in various environments, including outdoor and multi-level areas.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
