We are currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Waterford, Ireland team, working on some of the country's largest and most dynamic construction and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advice on contractual matters both generally and at project levels
Manage and process contractual claims along with related documentation
Identify ways to maximize revenue, reduce costs, and investigate any financial losses
Support project cash flow management
Assist in handling project correspondence
Negotiate and finalize agreements with subcontractors and suppliers, including pricing and contract terms
Ensure timely closure of final accounts
Prepare commercial and contractual correspondence promptly
Create and review subcontract and supplier documentation
Generate and analyze monthly cost reports
Update and maintain risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time logs monthly for inclusion in reports
Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers
Measure and price contract variations
Engage with clients, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to negotiate variations

Qualifications and Skills Required

Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor on medium to large-scale construction projects
Capability to operate on large-scale construction sites involving many staff and subcontractors
Effective communication and cooperation abilities when engaging with Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, internal teams, and client representatives, including participation in meetings
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Comprehensive understanding of the construction sector and site operations
Efficient use of time to maximize productivity and meet demanding targets
