Project Manager - Biometrics

This Project Manager position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (hybrid working 2 to 3 days a week onsite).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Biometrics project teams through all phases of clinical studies—from initiation through closeout—managing departments such as Data Management, Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, and Medical Writing.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from small single-service studies to complex global full-scope biometrics projects and programs, operating with minimal supervision.
• Serve as the main point of contact among clients, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams to enhance team cohesion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to encourage continued and new business opportunities.
• Organize and lead team meetings; prepare and distribute agendas and minutes.
• Develop and upkeep project timelines, milestones, and action item tracking.
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including monthly accrual estimation and timely invoice generation.
• Identify and manage change orders and related scope adjustments.
• Address project issues, facilitate resolution, and escalate when necessary.
• Recognize risks and implement mitigation and resolution plans.
• Ensure completion of all internal and sponsor-required training.
• Support contracts team in developing budgets and scopes of work for Statements of Work, Work Orders, and Change Orders.
• Provide performance feedback to project team members and managers.
• Assist with business development tasks such as responding to RFPs and RFIs, and participate in governance activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior project management staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in life sciences; MBA or PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry, including at least three years in project management roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of Biometrics services and their interdependencies.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, drug development processes, and project management methodologies.
• Good knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project.

Salary information is presented as a pay range in Canadian dollars with the actual final compensation depending on candidate qualifications and experience.
