Job description
Overview
The Production Manager for Cosmetics at Knoz El Hekma in Jiddah oversees all aspects of daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that cosmetic products are made efficiently, safely, and according to predefined quality benchmarks. This position demands full-time, on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize production schedules to meet manufacturing goals.
- Manage the availability of raw materials by coordinating with procurement and warehouse departments.
- Supervise and support production personnel throughout their activities.
- Monitor the functionality and efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
- Enforce strict safety and hygiene protocols relevant to cosmetic production.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal company guidelines within cosmetic manufacturing processes.
- Track and analyze production key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Address operational challenges to maintain smooth production flows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with quality assurance, research and development, and maintenance teams for product launches and ongoing improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience managing production in cosmetics, personal care, or related manufacturing sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and cosmetic regulations.
- Proven leadership skills to train, manage, and evaluate production teams effectively.
- Expertise in production planning, resource allocation, and optimizing workflows to meet output and quality requirements.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency interpreting production metrics and reports for operational enhancements.
- Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software and competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational aptitude and ability to prioritize multiple tasks under fast-paced conditions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset for working across departments.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or closely related disciplines.
- Experience operating in Jiddah or similar industrial settings, along with fluency in Arabic and English, is considered an advantage.
