About the Role
The Product Owner acts as the key leader responsible for running a product or service as a business unit. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations and sprint activities within an agile development environment. The Product Owner’s main mission is to maximize the value delivered by the product or service, serve as the customer's voice in the team, and bridge the gap between the overall product strategy and its development execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage closely with both internal and external customers to identify their needs and challenges, leveraging data-driven insights to drive product enhancements.
- Manage the product scope and prioritization, facilitate efficient agile ceremonies, enhance execution flow, and ensure continuous delivery while preserving technical soundness.
- Coordinate and manage supplier, business partner, and third-party relationships when applicable.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product or service, including build, operation, improvement, and retirement stages.
- Lead the Quarterly Planning Process, providing clear, high-level estimates of team deliverables and associated confidence metrics.
- Plan and monitor squad financials, quantify required effort, and measure value delivered.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned within the scope of senior leadership directives.
Expected Outcomes
- Establish and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog while balancing trade-offs and managing dependencies as well as unforeseen tasks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, subject matter experts, other product owners, and product managers to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Track and manage delivery progress in alignment with the agreed roadmap, ensuring consistency with organizational objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Proven extensive expertise in the agile product owner discipline and its best practices.
- Capacity to grasp complex problems and explain them clearly and simply.
- Experience working with iterative development, continuous delivery, and visualization techniques for roadmap communication.
- Skillful in managing scope and prioritization with decisions based on data analysis.
