About the Role
Meta is dedicated to creating innovative, community-building technologies used by billions globally, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Meta Quest. As a Product Designer at Meta, you will play an integral role in designing technologies that are intuitive, valuable, and executed with exceptional craftsmanship. This role involves participating in all stages of product development from initial ideation to the final details before launch. The position requires applying a comprehensive set of design skills and working closely with product and executive teams to influence high-level strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform broad conceptual ideas into practical and valuable solutions for over 2 billion users.
- Create simplified and effective user flows that convert complex tasks into user-friendly interfaces.
- Design and evolve visual systems through new experiences and layout innovations.
- Contribute strategically to the future development of Facebook products.
- Provide constructive feedback within the design and product teams to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to guide the user experience from inception to launch.
- Communicate design goals and concepts clearly to a broader team and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Substantial experience designing complex software products focused on user experience, interaction design, and visual design aligning with business goals.
- Proficient in performing advanced usability tests and incorporating feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders into product strategies.
- Experienced in developing and leading design strategies and presenting work to executive stakeholders.
- Skilled in using prototyping tools to create high-fidelity prototypes that clearly convey design ideas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to collaborate across related initiatives within the company, fostering teamwork.
- Exhibited leadership beyond product design, including mentorship roles that strengthen the team culture.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance or redesign workflows with measurable improvements in efficiency or quality.
- Knowledge and application of ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Continuous development of AI skills, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, while staying updated on emerging AI technologies.
