Position Overview

The Process Operator role primarily involves managing inbound bulk ingredient unloading tasks (receiving) and batching activities within the mill room to support production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload delivery trucks and railcars, performing necessary inventory movements.
• Complete comprehensive shift documentation for quality assurance and reporting.
• Collect ingredient samples and conduct bin measurements accurately.
• Be certified or able to obtain forklift operation certification.
• Comprehend production schedules, computer systems, operational instructions, and inventory processes to ensure precise reporting.
• Coordinate with team members to maintain timely material replenishment.
• Conduct meticulous quality checks and record keeping without errors.
• Ensure the work environment remains clean and safe at all times.
• Keep accurate records related to quality control checks, production volumes, and waste.
• Display strong ownership and accountability for product quality.
• Perform standard quality control tasks and other assigned quality-related duties.
• Follow instructions related to production schedules and inventory management systems.
• Undertake additional duties as necessary.

Physical and Environmental Conditions

• Stand for extended periods on concrete flooring.
• Be capable of working at heights and within confined spaces.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment requirements, including hair nets, bump caps, ear protection, safety shoes, and uniform.
• Engage in physical activities such as bending, stooping, twisting, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Adapt to varying temperature conditions and environmental factors such as dust, dirt, and chemical exposure.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing with machine operation.
• At least two years of relevant work in manufacturing or technical/trade fields.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Knowledge of inventory control methods.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an hourly pay range between 19 and 22 USD, with the exact rate determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and potentially long-term incentives for executive roles.
