Principal Business Analyst with Expertise in XML, JSON, or Python

We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst with deep expertise in US mortgage documentation and data structures. This role demands strong analytical skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and report on test results aligned with business requirements, performing root cause analysis on defects and incidents following releases.
• Develop detailed test cases to discover defects and identify quality issues in final deliverables before launch.
• Analyze complex business processes and systems in the mortgage domain thoroughly and document accurate findings.
• Offer strategic, expert guidance and data-driven recommendations ensuring alignment with industry norms and best practices.
• Engage actively in scrum meetings and collaborate with DevOps, QA, Engineering, and Product teams to grasp scope, plan requirements, and commit to deliveries.
• Conduct gap analysis, plan releases, and drive process improvement strategies to boost operational efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain precise documentation of Jira stories, epics, and defects with comprehensive details for full traceability during delivery cycles.
• Keep data documentation accurate and up-to-date throughout both project lifecycle and post-release maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
• Over six years of professional experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or equivalent role within a specialized domain.
• Extensive knowledge of the US mortgage industry with expertise in mortgage documents and data frameworks including financial and legal documentation.
• Proficient in MS Excel, especially for analyzing complex datasets and reports.
• Strong abilities in data synthesis, problem solving, and making insightful decisions from ambiguous data.
• Working knowledge of XML, JSON, API testing, and programming logic as applied to analyze data and documents.
• Experience mentoring and guiding senior analysts or team members assigned to analyst roles.
