Role Overview

The Porter plays a vital role in complementing quality vehicle repairs by ensuring customer vehicles are thoroughly cleaned prior to delivery and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both shop and office areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently implement the Wow Operating Way (WOW) plan.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks inside the office, including emptying trash, cleaning floors, dusting countertops, and organizing workspaces.
• Maintain cleanliness in the production area by emptying waste containers, sweeping floors, removing unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment appropriately.
• Keep parking lots and surrounding grounds tidy, including snow removal from sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repair work commences.
• Carry out interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles once repairs have been completed.
• Transport customer vehicles to subcontracted repair locations as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Prior automotive experience is advantageous.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to multitask and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Clear, near vision required.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Capability to pull, push, carry, walk (over 5 miles), stand (over 5 hours), sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Compensation

The position offers a wage range between $12 and $17 per hour, commensurate with skills, education, and experience. Bonus incentives tied to personal or company performance may also be available.
