Role Overview
This position, managed by a partner company, is seeking a Partnerships Lead based in Germany to drive and strengthen strategic partnerships across the EMEA region. The role serves as a critical connector aligning global partnership strategies with regional business demands to fuel growth. It offers autonomy and involves strategic planning, business development, and partnering closely with various teams in a dynamic international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand a diverse pipeline of strategic partners including technology partners, solution providers, cloud services, marketplaces, and startup ecosystems throughout the EMEA territory.
- Source, qualify, negotiate, and bring new partners onboard to enhance the company's market reach.
- Implement and customize global partnerships locally through enablement programs, joint selling, marketing campaigns, and where necessary, commercial agreements.
- Work with global partnership stakeholders to tailor strategies to regional market, legal, and business specifics.
- Foster long-term relationships with senior leaders of partner organizations to promote continued collaboration and shared success.
- Represent the company at relevant regional industry, technology, and developer forums to boost brand exposure and partnership opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights and suggestions to improve partnership effectiveness and regional implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure successful partner relations and business expansion.
Qualifications
- Between 5 and 10 years of professional experience in partnerships, business development, channel management, or related commercial fields focused on the EMEA market.
- Track record managing various partnership types such as technology alliances, solution partners, system integrators, cloud providers, and startup ecosystems.
- Proven ability to build or enhance regional partnership operations within multinational companies.
- Strong commercial insight for identifying and capitalizing on strategic business opportunities across varied partner categories.
- Experience operating autonomously in a global, distributed environment with collaboration across several time zones.
- Industry background preferably in developer tools, cloud technologies, databases, infrastructure software, or similar tech sectors.
- Established network of senior contacts in the EMEA partner ecosystem, including technology vendors and startups.
- Excellent skills in relationship management, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with AWS partner ecosystems is highly preferred; familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud programs, or knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous.
