Job description
Position Overview
The Parking Enforcement Agent will provide critical operational assistance by enforcing local parking laws and offering support to customers regarding parking issues. Utilizing a Handheld Ticket Issuance System, the agent will accurately log vehicle license plates and issue citations for parking violations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned routes monitoring on-street parking meters for violations of parking regulations.
- Issue parking tickets approved by the city for infractions following established policies and procedures.
- Upload handheld device data daily to retrieve updated information necessary for duties.
- Verify parking placards and permits to ensure compliance with authorized special privileges.
- Address and resolve customer complaints adhering to company guidelines.
- Properly maintain and care for all equipment provided by the company.
- Assist with special projects and assignments as directed.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Must obtain or pass a parking enforcement certification program.
- Familiarity with the streets and roadways within Destin is necessary.
- While not required, at least six months of outdoor work experience is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

- Capacity to stand, walk, and run for nearly the entire duration of the shift without sitting.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting throughout the work period.

Work Schedule and Compensation
