Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operator at our Brantford, Ontario bakery. This role involves safely handling and moving materials within the facility to support production, shipping, and receiving operations, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with company standards.

Shift and Schedule

• Primary shift: Morning, Monday to Friday, with potential rotation to morning/afternoon shifts.
• Weekend work as needed.

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage of $30.08.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including models such as Counterbalance, Walkie, and Raymond Reach, to transport materials safely across the facility.
• Provide production support by delivering materials to picking and work areas.
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate inventory control.
• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Use warehouse management systems, including SAP, to record inventory movements and documentation accurately.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and coworkers to resolve material flow issues and maintain operational efficiency.
• Help sustain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Certified forklift operator license from a recognized authority, valid for Counterbalance, Walkie, and Raymond Reach equipment.
• At least three years’ experience operating forklifts in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to follow directions independently and collaborate within a team environment.
• Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced workplaces.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check or provide a pardon if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with capability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management software, particularly SAP.
• Experience in food production or similar regulated industries.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail when handling inventory and documentation tasks.
