Operations Coordinator (Port Operations)

Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Operations Coordinator specialized in port operations to oversee daily activities ensuring efficient execution within the port environment in Dubai, UAE.

Key Duties

• Oversee and manage daily port operations, guaranteeing smooth and effective performance of assigned tasks.
• Coordinate manpower deployment, assign gangs, and plan shifts according to operational needs.
• Create and update manpower rosters on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis aligned with client expectations.
• Strategize and implement workforce mobilization to secure timely availability of personnel.
• Act as the main operational liaison for clients, resolving daily operational concerns and handling escalations.
• Collaborate with terminal operations, transport, accommodation, recruitment, and payroll departments to maintain uninterrupted operational support.
• Facilitate and organize On-the-Job Training (OJT) for newly recruited employees before their deployment to the port.
• Track and supervise attendance, manpower assignments, shift schedules, productivity metrics, and overall workforce utilization.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess 2 to 5 years of professional experience in port operations, stevedoring, manpower supply, or logistics management.
• Expertise in manpower deployment, gang coordination, roster planning, workforce mobilization, and client interface.
• Prior experience within container terminals or port operational settings is advantageous.
• Strong capabilities in leadership, strategic planning, effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word, with good command over operational reporting.
• Holding a valid UAE driving license is mandatory for this role.

Compensation Package

The offered package includes a base salary of AED 4000, incentivized earnings, accommodation, car, and fuel provisions.
