Job description
About the Role
The Operations Consultant role is integral to supporting store operations by working closely with the Operations Supervisor to keep the stockroom organized and ensure merchandise is properly updated.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, knowledgeable assistance to clients during business hours.
- Train cashiers and other consultants on the use of Point-Of-Sale (POS) and Mobile POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cashier area.
- Support adherence to SEPHORA's merchandising standards.
- Participate in initiatives to minimize loss and theft.
- Efficiently receive and process incoming shipments.
- Organize and manage stockroom following company procedures.
- Handle processing of transfers, damaged goods, and testers as per guidelines.
- Check all visual merchandising materials, report missing or damaged items to supervisor.
- Maintain safety and tidiness standards consistently.
- Communicate any inventory-related issues promptly to store leadership.
- Ensure sampling policies are followed accurately.
- Assist with inventory control activities.
- Some consultants will receive cross-training to perform cashier duties.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or client service environments, with a preference for stockroom experience.
- Strong computer proficiency along with sound arithmetic and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while focusing on client and operational needs.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent credentials.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Details
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with fragrances.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to bend and stretch for shelf stocking tasks.

The hourly pay ranges from CAD 17 to 20, dependent on qualifications and experience.
