Role Overview

Tutors are responsible for conducting individualized and small group online sessions in assigned academic subjects. Day-to-day duties encompass lesson planning, clarifying concepts, guiding students through exercises, and providing constructive feedback to support their learning progress. Tutors monitor student performance, modify teaching techniques to meet individual needs, and maintain detailed records of sessions and learning objectives. This full-time remote position demands a dependable online presence, professional interactions with students and families, and teamwork with the Tutor99 staff to maintain high-quality standards and platform compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Deep knowledge in one or more academic disciplines such as mathematics, science, language arts, or test preparation, coupled with the ability to simplify complex material.
• Proven experience in online tutoring or teaching, with expertise in virtual classrooms, video conferencing platforms, and digital educational tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build student rapport, encourage learners, and tailor teaching methods to various learning styles.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to design lesson plans, coordinate schedules, and keep precise records of student progress and session notes.
• Experience engaging with a wide range of learners from different age groups, cultural backgrounds, and learning needs; prior tutoring or classroom teaching is highly advantageous.
• Possession of a bachelor’s degree or active enrollment in a related field is preferred, along with a dedication to educational fairness, professionalism, and ongoing development.
• Achievement of a 95+ ATAR and the highest band score in the subject intended to be taught.
• A minimum of one year of relevant teaching experience.
