This role involves joining a diverse NSW-based team with a main office in Sydney CBD. As a Mobile Case Manager dedicated to the Police portfolio, you will leverage your case management experience to manage your daily schedule independently while providing timely, personalized face-to-face claims management and on-site treatment approval services compliant with legislation.
During an initial onboarding phase lasting four weeks, full-time presence at the office is required to ensure thorough training and a smooth integration into the role.
Your geographical area of responsibility will be within the Southern regions of NSW, encompassing travel between Wollongong and Albury.
This is a 12-month full-time contract, involving on-road service four days per week with the option to work from home one day weekly.
Key Duties
- Offer tailored in-person assistance to employees and employers over mutually agreed periods alongside the Case Manager.
- Provide expert advice on workers compensation to various stakeholders including workers, employers, and healthcare providers.
- Conduct visits to community locations such as workplaces and medical clinics.
- Proactively drive optimal recovery outcomes and facilitate early, sustained return to work for injured workers.
- Collaborate with Case Managers, healthcare providers, employers, and Return to Work Specialists when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in case management with proven success in returning individuals to work.
- Strong knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and associated regulations.
- Skilled in active listening and conflict resolution, with empathy for people recovering from physical or psychological injuries, focused on maximizing rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and proficient communication skills both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and typical injury recovery timelines.
- Possession of a personal vehicle meeting safety standards (5-star ANCAP rating), valid insurance, and an unrestricted NSW driver's license.
Additional Information
Working Schedule during initial onboarding requires commuting to Sydney CBD office five days per week. Post-onboarding includes travel and remote work components, servicing designated regions throughout southern NSW.
