Role Overview
We are searching for a Mega/Strategic Projects Sales Manager to be based onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is centered on cultivating, managing, and expanding Eaton’s network within the assigned region. The position demands expertise in early identification of project opportunities and effectively positioning Eaton’s product offerings in large-scale or serial large projects. Coordination with internal teams is crucial for successful follow-up, opportunity oversight, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities and cultivate strategic relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct needs analysis meetings to understand project requirements and develop tailored initial solution proposals aligned with Eaton’s portfolio.
- Influence stakeholders to adopt Eaton’s solutions and value propositions.
- Transfer detailed project requirements to internal technical and support teams to ensure alignment.
- Assess projects critically to make bid or no-bid decisions based on scope and strategic relevance.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date project data in Salesforce and manage the opportunity pipeline including quotations and follow-ups.
- Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and promote continuous improvement in project engagement processes.
- Analyze past missed opportunities to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Represent Eaton in industry events, conferences, and networking platforms to enhance market presence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or Professional Technician certification in electrical engineering.
- At least 10 years' experience managing large-scale projects in electrical or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing techno-commercial proposals for Low Voltage switchgear, Busway systems, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and other electrical distribution solutions.
- Well-established and positive relationships with EPC contractors and major market players in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong connections with C-level executives across key end-users, particularly within Public Investment Fund (PIF) entities such as DGDA, QIC, RSG, MOS, MOI, MOD, JCDC, JEC, RUA, RCU, among others.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.
- Experience working with CRM/PRM platforms.
- Knowledge of BidManager, CPQ, and Copilot tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of low voltage switchgear and busway systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presales capabilities.
- Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving skills.
- Market intelligence expertise.
