Role Overview

Reporting to the Materials Operations Supervisors, the Materials Specialist is responsible for the management of warehouse inventory, shipping, receiving, and transportation logistics. Collaborating closely with the Maintenance Department, this role ensures that materials required for aircraft maintenance are adequately stocked and distributed efficiently throughout the organization in a detail-oriented and safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of Material Stores and Line Material functions.
Identify and resolve issues related to inventory accuracy, parts issuance, shipping, receiving, stocking, material handling, and equipment use.
Oversee warehouse management for both Technical and Non-Technical inventory items.
Perform data entry for inventory management involving locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping materials, including supplies and tools.
Coordinate with Maintenance Operations Control for inventory, tooling, and equipment movements, especially for Aircraft on Ground situations.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate adjustments with Maintenance, Purchasing, and relevant departments to maintain optimal inventory.
Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations ensuring compliance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
Carry out physical inventories while adhering to set minimum and maximum stock thresholds.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality departments to perform calibrated tooling and shelf-life audits to comply with regulatory standards.
Perform periodic receiving inspections as assigned by Quality Control.
Prepare hazardous materials shipments in compliance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines.
Work with Engineering and Maintenance Planning to prepare kits for fleet modifications.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Materials.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in data entry or inventory management.
Valid Driver’s License with a driving record meeting company requirements.
Capability to operate company vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and other ground service equipment.
Successful completion of Materials and General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses.
Certification in Dangerous Goods (DG) Handling through IATA with ongoing recertification.
Legal authorization to work in the United States as per Immigration Reform Act.
Proficient in operating 5K and 15K forklifts for handling aircraft engines and equipment.
Pass a 10-year background and Criminal History Records Check.
Ability to obtain and maintain SIDA and other relevant airport security badges.
Fluency in English and minimum age of 18 years.
Demonstrate alignment with Breeze core values and possess a proactive, motivated attitude for success.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aerospace, or related field, or certificate from an accredited trade/technical school.
Experience with TRAX (M&E) Inventory system.
Background in warehousing or stockroom environments.
Strong technical and analytical skills for generating reports via TRAX, Excel, and similar tools.
Possession of a valid passport without travel restrictions outside the U.S.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Willingness to work in a 24-hour operation requiring occasional holidays, weekends, overtime, or late shifts.

Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Physical ability to lift and move weights of 50 pounds or more and perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and stooping in confined spaces.

Compensation

Starting pay at $18.50 per hour with an additional $2.00 shift differential for shifts worked between 9:00 PM and 7:30 AM.
