Serving various industries such as agriculture, equine, beef and dairy, sports and recreation, playgrounds, industrial, truck and trailer, home fitness, and commercial flooring, the company operates six manufacturing plants spread across Canada (British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec), the U.S. (Texas), and China.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Channel Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist will be vital in planning, executing, and coordinating marketing efforts to support product launches, brand promotion, customer engagement, and lead generation across three diverse business divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate trade show participation alongside Marketing and Sales teams, handling exhibitor registration, budgeting, invoice tracking, staffing, booth design, product samples, literature, promotional materials, logistics, lead capture, and post-event analysis.
- Assist in managing marketing budgets, including planning, monitoring expenses, processing invoices, coding expenditures, and preparing monthly reports.
- Manage social media content calendars and execution across multiple brands and channels, creating, publishing, and optimizing posts while tracking performance and analytics.
- Support the development and implementation of email marketing initiatives aimed at customer engagement and business growth.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns encompassing digital advertising, lead generation, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Develop and update sales enablement materials such as sales collateral, case studies, customer testimonials, and point-of-sale displays to aid sales and customer outreach.
- Coordinate website content management and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure digital assets are up to date and support new online initiatives.
- Conduct competitive research, pricing analyses, category studies, and gather market insights to drive strategic marketing decisions and product positioning.
- Oversee the production, inventory, and distribution of product samples and marketing materials for use by customers, distributors, and sales representatives.
- Assist in planning and promoting North West Rubber’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives through varied marketing channels including social media, presentations, and community partnerships.
- Provide reporting, project coordination, and general administrative support to the marketing department as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or related fields.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrate a solid foundation in marketing principles and go-to-market strategies.
- Exhibit excellent project management and organizational abilities, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Have a keen eye for detail paired with strong planning and execution skills.
- Showcase excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, presenting, and interpersonal interactions.
- Possess the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build robust relationships at all organizational levels.
- Have a passion for marketing innovation and creating impactful brand experiences.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat is an advantage.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms like Hootsuite or Sprout Social is beneficial.
