Manager / Senior Manager - Purchase

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Manager or Senior Manager for the Purchase department to oversee procurement activities spanning diverse categories such as food, packaging, capital expenditure, operational expenditure, and store supplies. This role demands prior experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector, proficiency in procurement techniques, and strong commercial negotiation capabilities with a history of achieving tangible cost reductions through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing efforts to secure consistent yearly procurement cost reductions without compromising on quality or service standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization via vendor negotiations, alternative sourcing options, value engineering, and managing contracts effectively.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies targeted at improving commercial agreements and diminishing overall procurement expenses.
• Monitor and report on procurement savings, cost avoidance, and vendor performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce (B.Com or M.Com) is essential.
• Possess 8 to 12 years of experience in procurement or purchase roles, with exposure to accounts or procurement finance preferred.
• Proven track record in generating measurable procurement cost savings and commercial benefits through effective sourcing and negotiations.
• Experience within Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), food service, or retail food and beverage industries is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of procurement procedures, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and supply chain planning.
• Thorough knowledge of vendor reconciliation, invoice processing, and procurement-related financial controls.
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
