Manager Operations - Singapore Ground Operations

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to lead and manage the Ground Operations team at our Singapore facility. The role entails overseeing a wide range of ground logistics functions including dispatch, service assurance, transport scheduling, customs clearance, and vendor management to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient operations aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team by managing recruitment, performance, coaching, and employee lifecycle activities such as hiring and discipline.
• Ensure daily operational processes such as shipment pickup, sorting, and dispatching are executed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain team awareness of current operational procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance and enhance processes.
• Conduct audits and investigations to identify operational anomalies or gaps and implement corrective measures.
• Manage and deliver timely and accurate operational reporting and presentations to senior management, monitoring KPIs related to service quality, transit times, and costs.
• Plan and allocate resources, including staff rostering, to meet department objectives and communicate progress clearly to all stakeholders.
• Oversee project management initiatives to ensure on-time, on-budget completion of operational programs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Quality Driven Management principles, fostering a customer-centric culture.
• Manage the departmental budget and engage in vendor and procurement activities to optimize costs within set parameters.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least five years of relevant experience in logistics, express courier, transport, process engineering, or industrial engineering.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 or 3A Singapore Driving License, or ability to obtain it immediately.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven and problem-solving approach.
• Excellent organizational, time management, decision-making, and communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
