Maintenance Technician III

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician III will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and upkeep of an automated baggage handling system at an airport in Singapore. This position requires a hands-on technician experienced in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, comfortable with troubleshooting and resolving various equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance on automated baggage handling machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Inspect conveyors, motors, sensors, and other automated components regularly.
• Interpret basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Provide prompt response during equipment failures to limit downtime.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols during maintenance tasks.
• Maintain consistent, reliable equipment operation.
• Operate within a 24/7 rotating shift schedule as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least two years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance roles.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics.
• Experience working on conveyors, motors, sensors, automated systems, or industrial machinery.
• Knowledgeable about both preventive maintenance and breakdown handling.
• Capable of working solo and collaboratively within a team.
• Communicates effectively.
• Willing to undertake rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
