About the Role
Nike's expansive global footwear manufacturing relies heavily on strong partnerships with strategic factory suppliers across over eight countries. Delivering operational excellence through these relationships is crucial to fulfilling Nike's promise to athletes. Positioned in Bengaluru, India, the Lead Product Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal role within the Global Footwear Manufacturing team. This role focuses on driving innovation, ensuring product excellence, and supporting sustainable growth in Nike's footwear production.
Collaboration and Stakeholders
The manager will coordinate with various Nike stakeholders worldwide, including teams focused on Footwear Manufacturing, Sourcing, Responsible Supply Chain, Materials, Government and Public Affairs, Human Resources, Finance, and factory partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Align with stakeholders to implement Nike's footwear manufacturing priorities in India through detailed program and project planning.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive execution plans for assigned programs and coordinate cross-functional and regional activities.
- Define project scopes, manage requirements, and evaluate the impact of scope changes alongside sponsors and factory partners.
- Manage resources and apply formal project management methodologies to ensure systematic and disciplined execution.
- Lead cross-functional meetings with clear agendas and outcomes, track progress, and manage communication among teams and stakeholders.
- Establish schedules, manage dependencies and assignments, and monitor project timelines to ensure delivery milestones are met.
- Prepare and distribute regular program updates and communications for relevant Nike teams and partners.
- Drive the growth of Nike's manufacturing network in India, fostering supply chain resiliency, responsiveness, and operational excellence.
- Lead greenfield manufacturing setup projects and ramp-ups, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
- Organize essential business events, such as summits and workshops, to support India's expansion plans.
- Support the evolution of Nike's local operating model to accommodate broadening manufacturing capabilities in India.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Footwear, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields; advanced degrees are favored.
- At least 10 years' experience in supply chain roles with a minimum of 3-5 years in managerial positions within footwear or comparable industries.
- Proven background in leading greenfield manufacturing initiatives and ramp-up activities.
- Hands-on experience with formal project or program management frameworks.
- Additional expertise in Sourcing, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Management Systems preferred.
- Ability to influence cross-functional and factory teams without direct authority and manage complex discussions.
- Excellent communication, storytelling capabilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization/business intelligence tools.

- Lead efforts to maintain and improve supply coverage to support Nike's growth in the India marketplace.
