Job description
Position Overview
BaxterStorey Ireland is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team full-time at our Páirc Uí Chaoimh location in Cork. This permanent role involves maintaining an impeccably clean and well-organised kitchen environment to ensure smooth operations and exceptional hospitality experiences.
Role Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools manually and with industrial dishwashers.
- Sanitise kitchen surfaces, counters, and food prep areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty waste bins and manage proper disposal of rubbish.
- Support chefs by assisting with simple food prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Help receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and inventory effectively.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and equipment is kept in good working order, aligned with health and safety regulations.
- Manage incoming and outgoing goods as needed.
Candidate Qualifications
- Physical endurance to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Foundational understanding of kitchen equipment and sanitation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
