About the Show
"Ask the Universe" is an innovative interview and entertainment series tailored for Generation Z. The show delves into topics such as career trajectories, valuable life lessons, ambitions, identity, relationships, culture, and emerging futures. These themes are explored through candid, thoughtful, and engaging conversations, creatively framed around a vision board concept.
Role Overview
Working alongside the Producer, you will engage in all stages of development and production. This involves tasks from researching and contacting guests to contributing creative input and preparing for shoots. The ideal candidate possesses a natural curiosity, strong organizational abilities, proactive initiative, and a wealth of ideas. Equally comfortable with talent research and briefing note preparation, as well as brainstorming show segments and aiding shoot execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research to discover interesting guests from sectors like entertainment, music, social media, fashion, business, and culture, compiling comprehensive research packets and biographies.
- Partner with the Producer to craft guest-focused interview approaches, delivering creative insights during development discussions.
- Assist with scheduling production timelines, securing props, readying sets, and providing on-site support during filming.
- Extract and highlight engaging, viral moments from footage to produce episode summaries, content notes, and social media assets optimized for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Candidate Requirements
- In-depth understanding of Gen Z culture, current internet trends, celebrity knowledge, and the influencer ecosystems of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Proficiency in outlining vision boards, managing fast-moving digital environments, and strong skills in organization and project management.
- Enthusiasm for entertainment, digital media, content creation, and particularly TikTok culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Preferred: Previous experience in producing digital content including podcasts, YouTube videos, or television formats.
- Preferred: Experience with talent booking or collaboration with talent management and influencer networks.
